Chicken Pot Pie Cooked in a Lodge Cast Iron

In the video, Mr. Cast Iron demonstrates how to make a chicken pot pie using rotisserie chicken and Pillsbury pie crusts in a Lodge cast iron skillet and pie pan.

The first step is to preheat the oven to 350 degrees and heat onions in butter in the cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until they are translucent. Frozen vegetables and cream of chicken are then added to the skillet, along with a can of mushroom soup and three tablespoons of sour cream. The mixture is heated until the soup mix is softened.

Shredded rotisserie chicken and a sprinkling of Cajun seasoning, such as Slap Ya Mama, are then added to the skillet. The pie crust is then placed on top of the skillet and baked to create a creamy and flavorful pot pie.
